Zuid-Kennemerland National Park
Coastal sand dunes, dune forests and beaches west of Haarlem in North Holland
Lime-rich sand dunes give Zuid-Kennemerland plants that are rare in the Netherlands, and a herd of wisents (European bison) lives in a closed area of the park. Open sandy dunes lie to the west, and forests, many of them planted, to the east.
