Timanfaya National Park
Volcanic lava fields and fire mountains in southwestern Lanzarote, Canary Islands
Timanfaya is the only national park in Spain made up entirely of geological features, its soil wholly volcanic. Most of it was reshaped by the eruptions of 1730 to 1736, and the ground still reaches 100 to 600 °C at 13 metres depth.
