Stara Planina National Park

Waterfalls, limestone canyons and mountain bogs on Serbia's eastern border with Bulgaria

Stara Planina holds some of the tallest waterfalls in the Balkans, among them Kaluđerski Skokovi at 232 m, discovered only in 2012 once the border area opened to civilians. Limestone canyons, about 500 springs and sphagnum bogs fill the rest of the park.
