Ice-capped volcano, lava cave and sea stacks at the tip of Snæfellsnes in West Iceland

An ice-capped volcano, Snæfellsjökull, crowns the tip of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the crater Jules Verne chose for Journey to the Center of the Earth. Around it, the landscape runs from towering sea stacks to sandy beaches.
