Schinias Marathon National Park
Coastal pine forest, wetland and sea bay on Attica's Marathon plain
A seaside pine forest of Aleppo pine and stone pine, one of the few left in Greece and the Mediterranean, sits beside the Great Marsh (Mega Elos) and the Kynosoura peninsula. The site also coincides with the Persian camp at the Battle of Marathon.
