Raet National Park

Marine moraine ridge, pebble islands and sandy beaches on Norway's Agder coast

Raet is mostly sea, 599 km2 of its 607 km2, and follows a long moraine left by a glacier about 12,000 years ago, partly on land and partly under water. Kelp forests, eelgrass beds and the tiny pebble island of Måen set it apart.

2Hove on TromøyaA fine sandy moraine beach that is popular with bathers.
3MerdøAn island with sandy beaches formed from the moraine.
