Øvre Pasvik National Park
Old-growth Scots pine taiga, shallow lakes and bogs in Norway's far northeast
Old-growth Scots pine forest covers half of this exceptionally flat park, and it is the largest remaining forest in Norway untouched by significant human development. Shallow lakes and bogs fill the gaps, and Siberian taiga species live here that are uncommon elsewhere in Norway.
