Øvre Dividal National Park

Pine forest, birch and alpine tundra in a dry inland valley in Troms, Norway

Øvre Dividal (Dieváidvuovddi in Northern Sami) climbs from pine forest at about 300 m to alpine tundra at 1,600 m, in one of Norway's driest valleys. Ice-age glaciers left large rocks at unlikely places, and rivers have carved several ravines.
