Oulanka National Park

Boreal forest, mires and rapids along the Oulanka River in northern Finland

Oulanka combines northern mires, unlogged pine forest and a river of rapids and sandy-banked valleys close to the Arctic Circle. Northern and southern species overlap here, and many eastern Finnish plants and animals reach their westernmost outposts in the park.
