Matsalu National Park

Shallow bay, river delta and wet meadows on Estonia's western coast

Matsalu is a shallow, brackish bay where the Kasari River delta spreads into reedbeds and one of Europe's biggest open wet meadows. Every spring over two million waterfowl pass through, about 1.6 million of them long-tailed duck.
