Rocky skerries, narrow bays and pine forest on Lake Ladoga's Karelian shore

Around 500 small rocky islands (skerries) lie along narrow bays and channels on the north and northwestern shores of Lake Ladoga, Europe's largest lake. Water covers 44% of the park, and the islands carry forests of about 90% pine and 10% spruce.
