Krkonoše National Park

Glacial cirques, peat bogs and the highest peak in Czechia

Sněžka, at 1,603 m the highest mountain in Czechia, rises above glacial cirques, moraines and stone seas left by the last glaciation. Their steep rocky slopes are called the Krkonoše botanical gardens for their plant diversity, and glacial relict plants still grow in the subalpine bogs and heaths.
