Kremenets Mountains National Nature Park

Chalk and limestone ridges cut by ravines in western Ukraine

Low ridges and plateaus of eroded chalk, clay and limestone, cut by ravines and gullies, form the southeastern third of the Holohory-Kremenetsk Ridge. The park protects the critically endangered Klokov birch, which grows on only two mountain tops, both within its bounds.
