Khibiny National Park

Taiga and tundra mountains in a 40 km ring on the Kola Peninsula

The Khibiny Mountains form a circle about 40 km across, rising from low plains between Lake Imandra in the west and Lake Umbozero in the east. The park sits where taiga meets Arctic tundra flora, a few kilometres south of the official tundra boundary.
