Hohe Tauern National Park

Glaciers, waterfalls and Austria's highest peaks across Salzburg, Tyrol and Carinthia

The Hohe Tauern range carries more than 340 glaciers and 266 peaks above 3,000 m, including the Pasterze and Austria's highest summit, Großglockner. A core zone free of agriculture sits beside a fringe zone of alpine meadows still farmed in traditional ways.
