Haparanda Archipelago National Park
Low dune islands rising from the shallow northern Bothnian Bay in Norrbotten
The islands of the Haparanda archipelago have all emerged from the Bothnian Bay in the last 1,500 years or so, and the land still rises at about 8.5 millimetres per year. Large dunes typify the two main islands, Sandskär and Seskar Furö.
