Halych National Nature Park
Oak forests, meadows and wetlands along the Dniester in western Ukraine
The park is a patchwork of 16 tracts along the Dniester River and up several large tributaries, where Central European mixed forests meet Carpathian montane forests. About 70% is forested, mainly oak-hornbeam and oak-beech, and a further 15% is wetland.
