Eifel National Park

Beech woods, reservoirs and former military ground in Germany's North Eifel

Wood-rush beech woods, once spread across the whole Eifel and much of Central Europe, survive here around the Rur and Urft Reservoirs. The park includes the former Vogelsang Military Training Area on the Dreiborn Plateau, open to the public since 1 January 2006.
