Dwingelderveld National Park

Wet heathland, fens and juniper thickets in Drenthe, the Netherlands

Dwingelderveld is the largest wet heathland in Western Europe, with sandy hills, many fens and some pingo-ruins left by the last glacial. Celtic fields and burial mounds still show clearly in the heath.
