Drents-Friese Wold National Park

Forests, heath and drift-sands across the Drenthe and Friesland border

Drents-Friese Wold combines forest, heathland and drift-sands, shaped by centuries of sheep grazing and later forestry planting. The Vledder Aa, one of the very few remaining natural brooks in the Netherlands, runs through it.
