De Zoom–Kalmthoutse Heide Cross-Border Park

Open heathland straddling the Belgian–Dutch border north of Antwerp

A very large part of this border park is heath, shaped by centuries of grazing, sod removal and peat digging on land that was once deciduous forest. Kalmthoutse Heide in Belgium and De Zoom in the Netherlands are managed together as one park.
