Danube-Drava National Park

Floodplain wetlands, oxbow lakes and riparian woodland along the Danube and Drava in south-west Hungary

Marshes, oxbow lakes, channels and riparian woodlands spread across the Danube and Drava floodlands, where 190 km² are Ramsar wetlands. The mosaic absorbs seasonal floods and forms a core zone of the "Mura-Drava-Danube" biosphere reserve, often called the "Amazon of Europe".
