Cheremosh National Nature Park
Spruce forests and varied geology in the Carpathians of Chernivtsi Oblast
Spruce forest covers 80% of this park, laid over an unusually varied geology of metamorphic shale, grano-diorites, carbonates and a limestone massif with caves and a mine. Mountain meadows, lakes and rivers are interspersed, and the park is especially known for its mountain wildflowers.
